Rail cops have released CCTV images of a man they suspect robbed then stamped on a 60-year-old man in Tulse Hill station.

British Transport Police robbery squad Detective Sergeant Tony Burman said the suspect followed the victim into the tunnel where he grabbed his bag.

He added: "A struggle ensued and the victim ended up on the floor.

“The suspect stamped on the victim’s foot and then ran off with the bag.

“He was last seen heading towards Avenue Park Road.

"The victim suffered minor injuries to his foot and was left shaken as a result of the robbery."

The attack occurred in the pedestrian tunnel at 2.20pm on Sunday, July 20.

Police describe the suspect as being black Caribbean, about 175cm tall, aged 18 to 25 years, and was wearing blue jeans, a blue t-shirt and a light-coloured jacket.
