Sir Peter Hall’s new production at the Rose Theatre wants two Kingstonians who fancy treading the boards to apply for a chance to appear on stage.
A Portrait of a Lady is coming to the Rose Theatre from August 26, after being shown in Bath, and the Sir Peter Hall Company is looking for one woman and one man of any age to take up one of the two slots.
The roles will be unpaid non-speaking parts and no previous acting experience is required.
Associate director Cordelia Monsey said: “This is a great opportunity to become a part of the Peter Hall Company and be onstage with a wonderful ensemble of actors at the Rose Theatre.”
The Rose Theatre’s director emeritus Sir Peter Hall will direct the piece, about a young American heiress who travels to Europe on a voyage of self discovery, which stars Catherine McCormack.
Applicants must be available for all the performances from August 26 to September 6, including all matinee performances on Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday and a rehearsal on August 25.
To apply for a role, email your full measurements, including shoe and dress size, a full length photograph and your CV to Rachel Denyer at the Rose Theatre at auditions@rosetheatrekingston.
The closing date is August 11.
