PC Colin Oxberry, the new community policeman attended the latest meeting of the Hughenden Residents Association to speak about his role in the village. His message was that he could not do very much unless the residents reported every incident which they witnessed. He had to compete for police resources with all the other surrounding villages, and unless he could show his superiors, with actual reports of crimes, suspicious events or deliberate damage to property, he would not get the support to start campaigns. So report anything suspicious to 01494 431133 as soon as you see or hear it.
