Lakes Fm Decision Brings Sadness

Sir, Myself and many more people weresaddened to read (Gazette, February 9) that Lakes FM was not awarded theradio licence for Kendal.

It did a marvellous job bringinglocal radio into Kendal, making people aware of what was happening in thearea on a daily basis.

They had tremendous support from thepeople in Kendal and the surrounding area.

It appears to usthat Lakes FM did all the groundwork for somebody else to collect thereward.

After all the work done by Lakes FM, it would be niceif the public could be told the reasons why they were not granted thelicence.
