Kate Moss battles to save showbiz drinking hole

Kate Moss is battling to save a pub which is a favourite location for celeb photoshoots.

The Croydon-born supermodel is campaigning to stop a block of flats being built next to the George Tavern in, Commercial Road, Stepney.

The development of a five-storey building would apparently spoil the pub's unusual 360 degree light, which has earned it a reputation as a great place for showbiz snaps.

Kate, 34, donned a campaign T-shirt after a photoshoot at the pub, which has welcomed the likes of Justin Timberlake and The Rolling Stones through its doors.

According to developers, there is a need for affordable housing in the area.
