Three dogs attacked a woman in her sixties on the Putney Vale estate on Wednesday night.

She was bitten on the head, arm and leg and was taken to Kingston Hospital.

The woman was walking her own dog on a lead in Stroud Crescent, Roehampton, around 7.15pm on Wednesday, January 9 when the animals attacked her. Two of them were bull terriers.

Police dog handlers were called to the scene. Police said this week they were aware of the owner of the dogs, and the person walking them at the time had also been reported for offences relating to the incident.

The victim has been released from hospital and is now said to be recovering.

Incidents of this type are becoming far to common. The government need to act quickly and firmly in order to bring dogs and their owners under control.

One day dogs will have to be muzzled in public. Why not now?

Anyone wishing to own a dog should be made to undergo training themselves in order to prove they can properly handle, control and train their pet. Dog licences should be brought back too and cruel puppy farms closed down. Spare a thought for the poor dogs who live wretched lives with the type of people who think its macho to make their dogs vicious and who probably half starve them and kick them around their flats for fun... Squeeling chldren terrify dogs too, but its always the dogs that get the blame if they react...There is no such thing as a bad dog, only a bad owner.
