A man was taken to hospital and had to be treated for smoke inhalation after fleeing a building that had caught fire.
At least 25 firefighters and four fire engines were called to a basement fire at a house on Salcott Road in Battersea at 02:30am on October 12th.
They were able to put the fire out by 03:51am however, part of the basement and ground floor was damaged by the blaze.
Luckily the man was able to escape the building before the Brigade arrived and was treated by London Ambulance Service crews.
Firefighters who attended the scene came from Battersea, Clapham, Wandsworth and Tooting fire stations.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
