A man has been charged after a group of cyclists were nearly run down by a dangerous driver.

Police named 25-year-old Shane Seymour as a person they wished to speak with in connection to the dangerous driving incident near Clapham North station on August 1.

Wimbledon man Dave Clifton was one of the cyclists nearly knocked over.

"It's worrying having drivers on the road like that, certainly," he said.

"It's all just really bizarre. I don't know if he's just having a bad morning or what. He seems to be picking on everybody."

Shane Seymour was arrested on August 19 and later charged for two counts of theft of motor vehicle, five counts of driving whilst disqualified, five counts of dangerous driving and vehicle interference.

He was further charged with two counts of burglary.

He has been remanded to appear at Camberwell Magistrates Court on Tuesday, 21 August.
