An Eltham mother is warning residents after her 15-year-old daughter was approached by a man and asked to "get in his car and go for a drink".

A woman took to This is Eltham, SE9 on Facebook to give a description of a man who allegedly propositioned her teenage daughter in Westmount Road.

She said: “My 15-year-old daughter has just been followed by a male in a black Jaguar from bottom of Westmount to top of Westmount. He even pulled over and asked her to get in the car and go for a drink.

“She told him she is only 15 and doesn't get in a stranger's car at which point he said he was 18, only three years' difference.”

The man persisted and followed the girl all the way home despite her ignoring his advances.

The mother described the driver as being around 20, olive-skinned, with short brown curly hair, brown eyes with stubble, slightly chubby and around 5ft 8in.

She said she has now contacted the police and wants all residents in the area to keep an eye out and warn their children.
