A Banstead drug dealer who was spotted selling drugs in Sutton before he “smashed” into a police car while attempting to flee has been jailed.
Ross Locke, of Chipstead Road, was seen by officers in Wrythe Lane selling drugs from his van on April 24 earlier this year.
And in an attempt to escape, he rammed his vehicle into a police car.
The 30-year-old drove through a busy road and then into some smaller residential streets in a rush hour police chase.
But within a few minutes he was cornered and arrested, having been seen discarding a quantity of Class A drugs from his van which were then later recovered.
A total of nearly £5,000 worth of cocaine was seized by police alongside more than £1,500 in cash.
Locke would plead guilty to possession with intent to supply class A drugs and dangerous driving at Croydon Crown Court on May 24.
He was sentenced to 40 months in prison on July 18 and disqualified from driving for three-and-a-half years.
