A Twickenham actor and presenter hung up is mic on a high, after presenting at the inaugural Athletics World Cup.

Kiren Rai represented Daily Sport at the tournament which saw the likes of Holly Bradshaw and Dai Greene take part.

The tournament took place on July 14-15, where a whole host of nations competed in various track and field events.

There were 50,000 fans in attendance at the London Stadium over the to days, greater numbers than the Dimond League which took place on Friday, July 13.

United States finished first beating the chasing pack by 56 points. Great Britain finished third with 155 points.

The highlight for team GB was a surprise victory in the women’s 4x100 metre relay. Anchor Shannon Hylton held off Jamaican Tissanna Hickling, to lead Great Britain to first.

Kiren spoke about presenting at the World Cup: “It was amazing to be able to present at the world athletics, being 26 years old and able to travel the world and have this sort of chances, it’s amazing! It was an amazing weekend, congratulations to all the medallists.

“Nothing came to me by its own, I had to work constantly day and night and I still am, but I have finished presenting on a great note. I hope I can continue my career in the arts successfully.”
