A young girl from Epsom came home with a first place rosette pinned to her tie after winning the Disabled National Championships in Gloucestershire.

Felicity Julian was one of seven riders, ranged from teenagers to adults, to snap up rosettes for the Epsom Riding for the Disabled Association (Epsom RDA) at Hartpury College on the weekend of Friday, July 13.

Other Epsom RDA riders to win prizes included Wing Bo Chan, who came in third place, Emily Robinson, who came fourth, Leo Hussey in seventh place and Caroline Ferretti in 12th place.

Jon and Matt Sullivan, who also represented the Epsom RDA, came in 13th and 16th place respectively, despite riding a last minute replacement horse loaned by the Perry RDA.

The horse Mr and Mr Sullivan were scheduled to ride became lame and not fit to travel to Gloucestershire. After putting out an appeal on Facebook, the Epsom RDA was able to borrow Great Bear from the Perry RDA.
