A care home in Purley has celebrated the cultures of India and Pakistan.
Residents living at Sunrise of Purley, in Russell Hill Road, explored the creativity behind the two and the various traditions within them on July 13.
They spoke about what Asian women would typically wear – such as sarees, bangles, henna tattoos – and ate an assortment of foods.
Louise Wood, Sunrise of Purley’s director of communications, said: “What an enjoyable afternoon. It is really important that we celebrate different nations through our various events and residents absolutely loved seeing all the colour and dressing up.
“It was just mesmerizing and everyone looked brilliant!”
