A young man who was charged by police with attempted murder following a stabbing in West Molesey has appeared in court.
Rudi Brooks, 22, was on trial at Staines Magistrates Court this week (July 11) after a man in his 20s was found with stab wounds.
The victim was rushed to hospital with serious injuries after police were called to Walton Road at around 11pm on July 8.
Three out of the four men who were initially arrested on suspicion of attempted murder have been released on bail by the force.
Mr Books, of Thames Ditton High Street has been remanded into custody before his next appearance at Guildford Crown Court on August 10.
Elmbridge Safer Neighbourhood Sergeant Greg Turner said “little” can be revealed about the incident at this stage.
However, officers believe the men involved were known to each other, while there was and is “no ongoing risk to the wider public”.
