A Putney man is due to appear in court next month after being accused of dumping a huge flytip.
This came after a large pile of waste was found dumped in Putney Park Lane at the end of May.
Included in the flytip was a carpet, microwave, folding bed, plastic laundry baskets and more than a dozen black binbags.
The summons follows an investigation carried out by the Wandsworth Council’s parks police service, which led them to the front door of a nearby home.
The maximum penalty that can be imposed by the courts following conviction for a serious flytip offence is an unlimited fine and/or a prison sentence of up to five years.
The man will appear in Lavender Hill Magistrates on August 14.
