A pensioner who was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault at the All England Club has been released.
On Wednesday, July 4 at around 6pm a 72-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault following an incident at the Wimbledon tennis tournament.
A Met Police spokesman said: "The incident happened within the grounds but not courtside.
"Security staff within the ground detained the man and he was arrested by police.
He was taken into custody at a south London police station, but police have now confirmed that he has been released under investigation pending further inquiries.
