Esher and Walton MP, Dominic Raab has been appointed Brexit Secretary, following the shock resignation of David Davies.
Mr Raab, who is currently housing minister, was a prominent Leave campaigner during the 2016 referendum.
Mr Davis quit late on Sunday night, saying Theresa May had "given away too much too easily".
The 44-year old Mr Raab, a lawyer before becoming an MP in 2010, will now take over day-to-day negotiations with the EU's Michel Barnier.
The MP has served in government since after the 2015 election, initially working in the Ministry of Justice before moving to the communities department in January. He was also the former chief of staff for Mr Davies.
Despite supporting the Leave campaign, Mr Raab's constituency voted remain in the referendum.
The 44-year-old MP enters Cabinet for the first time, having previously served in more junior ministerial posts in the housing and justice departments.
Appearing on BBC Radio 4's Today programme just hours after his midnight resignation, Mr Davis said a leadership challenge would be the "wrong thing to do" and insisted he believed Mrs May was a "good prime minister".
