Following the announcement last month that Hippodrome will close, Indie club night, New Slang has agreed to move to Pryzm.

Hippodrome site, Surrey House, is being redeveloped and this means that New Slang will have to find a new home. The popular night will move to Pryzm near Kingston Station.

Salmon Harvester, landlord of Surrey House said: "We have been in discussions with New Slang and various other stakeholders to help the live music nights seamlessly move to another venue in Kingston.

"To give them time to organise this we gave the club’s operator, the Deltic Group, a rent-free extension of their lease for the last six months. We are delighted to see them successfully relocate to other venues including a much-improved venue like Pryzm, where we hope they can continue to grow and create a great experience for Kingston’s music lovers.”

New Slang will say their goodbyes to Hippodrome on Thursday, July 12 with Tom Grennan's album release show.
