It is nearly time to celebrate the 400-year-anniversary of the discovery of Epsom Salts.
Next week (July 2-8) the town will be swept up in a creative arts festival to commemorate the discovery magnesium sulphate in Epsom Common.
Musicians, artists and performers will be leading seven days of exciting events inspired by Epsom Salts.
Festival director Maria Reeves said: “There are so many unique things to see and do during the festival.
"Celebrating the town’s heritage through creative arts is a great way to get everyone involved.
"Epsom Salts, or MgSO4 – which the festival name is inspired by – is pretty amazing stuff.
"I think we will all learn a little more about the science – as well as enjoy some special moments in music, theatre, literature, dance and visual arts.”
