This is the moment an incredibly rare albino squirrel was spotted scampering up a tree in a Sutton street.
The white rodent, with rare red eyes, was seen running across Eaton Road in front of "shocked" Matthew Throup before it disappeared up a tree and out of sight.
Matthew, 48, said he felt "privileged" to have spotted the albino squirrel, with the odds of seeing one numbered at just one in 100,000.
"I was quite shocked when I did see it. It ran across the road in front of me and then ran up a tree," said Matthew, from Banstead in Surrey.
"It stopped about halfway up for about four minutes, and then disappeared. I felt quite privileged to have seen it really."
Builder Matthew added: "I was actually just on my way to do a quote for a client, and when I mentioned it to him he said he thought he had seen a white squirrel early that morning.
"But he said he wasn't sure whether it was just his eyes playing tricks on him."
The albino squirrel was spotted at around 6pm on Sunday (June 17).
