A man was hospitalised and had to have surgery after being hit by a car in Walton - police believe deliberately.
Officers believe it happened at about 7.30pm on Saturday, June 2, in Field Common Lane.
The man suffered serious injuries, but has now been released from hospital.
Surrey Comet previously covered this story when police thought the incident happened in Longmore Road, and now police have issued a renewed appeal for witnesses.
Detective Constable Hannah Clarke said: “The victim has had to undergo surgery for the injuries he suffered after he was deliberately driven at, and we are treating this as a serious assault.
"I believe there would have been people around at that time and they might have information which could prove extremely useful in helping us work out what happened.”
