The Polka Theatre is raising money to help "reimagine" the art for future generations.
The Wimbledon children's theatre held an online auction that ran until May 15 to raise money for the venue’s redevelopment project, 'future polka'.
In a statement put out by the theatre, it said the project included "establishing a national centre for early years theatre, the opening of polka’s first onsite rehearsal studio, supporting its PolkaLab professional development programme and improving access throughout the venue to enable greater participation by actors and audience with mobility impairments.
"As of last week, Polka Theatre has raised nearly 70 per cent of the project’s £6.5 million target."
Although the date has now past to bid online, you can still bid on various items at The Broadway venue.
