Two boys aged 15 and 16 have been arrested and charged by police after they were caught carrying a knife, a hammer, and cannabis in Sutton.
The pair, who cannot be named for legal reasons, were detained by officers in the borough on May 17 before they were later charged.
The offences were for possessing an offensive weapon, a pointed blade, possession of cannabis, and obstructing an officer in their duty.
PC Sadasivan, of Sutton West Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “They have both been charged with all the offences mentioned, and I can’t stress enough on how important it is not to carry knives on the streets."
Now the boys have been bailed to appear at Croydon Magistrates Court at a later date next month, with their bail conditions banning them from entering Sutton.
