Barnett Close residents strung up bunting and closed the road to celebrate the Royal Wedding on Saturday.
More than 66 people shared delicious food, glorious weather and got to know the newer neighbours.
Brenda Matthews and Doreen were part of the group that organised a street party for the Silver Jubilee in 1977 and were able to share stories and photos of the party.
Keeping with the theme of the seventies party, organiser Alice Baccelliere, arranged for new Lib Dem councillor, Emma Norman, to come and give out the prizes for the best decorated wheels for the children, best dressed man, woman, girl and boy and best hat.
Brenda Matthews won the best hat competition with her handmade creation - echoing her 1977 win.
