Two drug dealers from South Norwood have been handed prison sentences after being caught with more than £28,000 worth of cocaine and heroin.

At their sentencing at Woolwich Crown Court on Friday, Tai Diedrick, 19, was jailed for four years and one month and Shaquille Boreland was sentenced to three years and five months after they pleaded guilty to possessing class A drugs with intent to supply.

The court heard that police carried out a drugs warrant on their home in London on April 10.

After finding the pair in a bedroom, along with quantities of cocaine and heroin, officers also found drugs in a carrier bag that had been thrown out of the window - estimated to be worth £28,000.

Both men were arrested at the scene and were eventually charged with drug offences.

Investigating officer DC Daniel Bister said: "Kent Police works hard to bring drug dealers to justice and I’m pleased we’ve been able to get two more dealers off the streets.

"They were found with a large amount of drugs which would have been sold to a lot of vulnerable people.

"I hope these sentences act as a reminder to others that crime does not pay."
