Year 6 pupils at The Mall School in Twickenham have received an “outstanding number” of 11+ and 13+ offers.

The boys received a total of 65 offers, from 15 senior schools, including a “record number” from 11+.

Headmaster David Price said: “We are so proud of all the boys in Year 6.

“They have worked extremely hard and as a non-selective school for entry into reception, it is particularly pleasing to see the range of destinations schools they will go on to.

“The number of boys securing 11+ places at highly selective senior schools, coming less than one year after we announced that all boys will leave at this stage from 2020, demonstrates how well staff at The Mall prepare them for their entrance examinations and interviews.

“This preparation also includes dedicated personal development sessions where boys, in small groups, learn relaxation techniques, have opportunities to talk about things that are worrying them and work on memory skills and exam techniques. The boys really enjoy and value the sessions.”

Offers were received from Epsom College, Hampton, King’s College School, Reed’s, St George’s College and St James’.

11+ offers were awarded from Kingston Grammar, Radnor House, RGS Guildford, Tiffin and Westminster Under School with 13+ pre-test offers from Halliford, Licensed Victuallers’ School, Lord Wandsworth College and St Paul’s.
