If waiting for food to cook isn't one of your strong suits then you may be in luck.

That is because a new restaurant that cooks pizzas in just 150 seconds is coming to Thornton Heath.

Fireaway already two stores in south London but owner Mario Aleppo has confirmed that the new eatery in Brigstock Road will be the franchise's first dine-in restaurant.

"We opened the first one in Sutton 23 months ago and have since opened one in Streatham, but this will be our first one with seating as the other two are mainly takeaway/delivery," he said.

"In a nutshell we use an old Italian pizza recipe from my grandmothers hometown in Naples and brought it over to be used in a subway style layout where people can design their own pizza from 25 toppings, four bases and four cheeses.

"We then fast fire in our oven for 150 seconds."

The restaurant, which will take the place of the Brigstock Cafe, has also submitted a licensing application to Croydon Council in the hopes that it will be able to sell alcohol until 11pm each night.

But you will have to wait a little longer to grab a bite as Mr Aleppo said they hoped to open in three weeks time.
