It was a night to remember for a group of Caterham School girls as they got a chance to rub shoulders with some of the best basketball players on the planet.
In the USA as part of their own netball tour, the group were invited to stand with the Orlando Magic and Washington Wizards players on court during the singing of the national anthem before the teams' final game of the season commenced on April 11.
The 4th year team captain Charlotte Tracy said it was an experience none of them will ever forget.
“It was nerve-wracking stepping out in front of such a huge crowd at first but they made us feel very welcome and special – it was amazing," she said.
"To then watch the game and learn more about the sport which is so huge in the US was great.”
According to Rachel Hart, Caterham School tour leader: “It’s been an inspiring experience for the girls.
The game itself was a wild one as well, with the Magic saving its best for last as the home side came out on top 101-92.
Caterham School's tour leader, Rachel Hart, said it was an "inspiring" experience.
"The opportunity to meet with world-class basketball players within such an electric atmosphere is something they’ll never forgot.”
