Barnes Children’s Literature Festival is returning, and this year welcomes the author of How to Train Your Dragon and world-famous Aardman Animations.

In just four years, the festival has become the biggest in London and this year runs between May 11 – 13.

Cressida Cowell, author illustrator of How To Train Your Dragon will talk about her magical new series The Wizards of Once, give top tips on becoming an author illustrator and why she loves the films.

Aardman Animations – creators of Wallace and Gromit, Shaun the Sheep, and Early Man – will be holding modelling making sessions in the iconic style of their beloved and quirky characters.

There will also be the opportunity to meet the legendary Judith Kerr, author of The Tiger Who Came to Tea, and the beloved Mog books.

An escapee of Nazi Germany, she is now a Barnes resident.

Other highlights are a Matilda musical theatre workshop, Children’s Laureate Lauren Child, Harry Hill, and Roald Dahl’s The Twits performed by John Kirk.
