A 15-year-old boy has been bailed ahead of sentencing after pleading guilty to robbery charges following two incidents in Roehampton and Putney.

The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates Court on April 11 where he admitted to the offences.

He was detained by police officers after a woman had her phone stolen during a robbery, in Tunworth Crescent, on April 9.

The 15-year-old was traced back to a nearby address by police where he was found with a mobile phone from a robbery the previous day outside Putney Vale Cemetery.

Now he has pleaded guilty to two counts of robbery and two counts of possession of an article which had a blade or was sharply pointed on both occasions.

He will be sentenced at a later date in May.
