Amy Winehouse's dad has compared her to a concentration camp victim in a newspaper interview.

Mitch Winehouse made the comments in The Sunday Mirror following Amy's admission to hospital on Wednesday.

“She is skinny as anything and dehydrated and looks like she has just come from a concentration camp."

While her record company said the 23-year-old former Brit School student's collapse was the result of exhaustion, papers have also claimed it was the result of a drugs overdose.

Amy, who has become notorious for her party hard lifestyle, has been said to have checked into The Priory in Roehampton.

However, according to The Sun she is in fact in a £3,000-a-night Four Seasons Hotel in Hook, Hants.

The paper claims her family are begging her to get help before it is too late.

Her dad told The Sunday Mirror: "She is skinny as anything and dehydrated and looks like she has just come from a concentration camp.

"She is barely eating. She is not sleeping. I try to get her to eat but that is easier said than done.

"I know that if she doesn't eat she is going to die. There is no reason for her to want to self-destruct like this."
