Jo Whiley of Radio 2 fame has been unveiled as the DJ for the official After Party on Derby Day at Epsom Downs Racecourse.

Jo Whiley has had a prestigious and varied career and is considered one of the nation’s favourite radio DJs.

She has worked for BBC Radio since 1993 and currently hosts weekday shows on BBC Radio 2. She has also presented the highlights from Glastonbury festival on television.

Jo Whiley said: “I’m really excited to be back at Epsom Downs Racecourse, DJing the official After Party on Investec Derby Day. The crowd last year were brilliant, so I’m looking forward to playing more great tunes for them.”

The DJ set will take place in the Hyperion Marquee. All racegoers with a Grandstand or Queen’s Stand ticket will be able to enjoy the live DJ set for free after racing has finished.

As Britain’s richest race at £1.5million, the Investec Derby is one of the biggest horseracing events in the British calendar.

This year the two-day horseracing Festival takes place on Friday 1 June (Ladies' Day) and Saturday 2 June (Derby Day).

The best racehorses in Europe will battle it out for millions of pounds in prize money.
