A YOUNG woman and her pooch have returned home as champions of the biggest dog show in the world.
Earlier this year Hayley Byrne-Ingle and her labradoodle Ellie, both from Loughton, qualified in several categories at Crufts.
On Friday the pair took part in the grooming round, Miss Byrne-Ingle removing Ellie's coat in a frantic two hours.
Not only did the pair win their age group, they were later crowned overall Young Kennel Club Groomer of the year.
The following day saw them take part in the heelwork to music round, a toe-tapping spectacle made famous by Britain's Got Talent (BGT) winners Ashleigh and Pudsey.
Strutting their stuff in front of Jules O'Dwyer - another dog dancing BGT victor - Miss Byrne-Ingle and Ellie performed Cliffe Richard's 'Summer Holiday',
The 20 year-old said: "To my surprise they chose us as the winner of our category.
"A truly amazing and unforgettable couple of days for both me and Ellie.
"It was my third time with Ellie this year but I didn't know how it would go. She can be very cheeky.
"We hope to return next year to defend our title."
