Police are searching for a man in connection with a sexual assault on a night bus.

The incident occurred on a N155 route at around 4.15am on November 19 after the victim, a 21-year-old woman, boarded the bus in central London.

It was after the suspect got on between central London and Lambeth that he sat down next to the victim, despite other seats being vacant, before sexually assaulting the woman and getting off the bus in Balham New Road, Wandsworth.

Detective Constable Sarah Bunting said: “We want to speak to this man in connection with this sexual assault, which has left the victim very shaken.

“If you can identify him, or offer any information which could progress this investigation, we would like to hear from you.”

The man is described as white, in his 30s, and around 5ft 6in tall.

He is said to have grey or brown hair and a small amount of facial hair, wearing a black leather jacket, blue jeans with rips in them and light brown shoes at the time.
