Plans have been submitted to open a new Italian-American fast-food pasta restaurant in Sutton this year.

Tellys TST, from Germany, put the plans forward to Sutton Council through RLC Food Limited to convert a current site in Sutton High Street.

It would appear to be their first branch in the United Kingdom as there are shops in three German cities already.

In the planning application, it said: “We think this new concept in food looks to bring a fresh shop on the high street, Tellys TST want to be on every high street in years to come. But the picture on the wall will say first open in Sutton 2018.

“We hope.”

Tellys TST appears to serve Italian-American influenced fast-food pasta, inspired by the tortellini, with what they say are natural ingredients.

Aside from ‘premium pasta’, there are also salads, soups, and coffee available.

They say the menu is designed by German chef and author Christian Rach, who apparently received his first Michelin star in 1991.

The application states the restaurant would be open from 7am to 7pm, employing four to six people.

It is unclear on when the new store would open, if the council approves, after it was received on January 2.
