A Shirley school has today unveiled its new £50,000 outdoor play area.
Students at Harris Primary Academy Benson got their first taste of the 'early years' area, which includes everything from a role play house and a trike track.
Victoria Forbes took over as the school's principal in November of last year, and is excited to see the new area ready to go.
"The children have been eagerly watching the builders as they finished work on the space, waiting for the day they could get out on the new equipment and ride the new trikes," she said.
“The new play area, funded by the Harris Federation, is going to be a real asset for our nursery and reception children for years to come.
"I hope that as many local parents as possible will pop in and see the new outdoor area with their children."
