Police have released a new photograph of a man who was fatally stabbed in Wandsworth last year as they continue to seek information about his murder.

Abdullah Hamima, 24, was knifed in the heart following a heated argument with a group of other men before he was killed on April 27 in Melody Road, at the junction with Allfarthing Road.

Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended the scene but he was pronounced dead roughly half an hour later.

Grieving mum Linda Malika said: “When my son, Abdullah, was murdered nine months ago, it destroyed my whole family. There is not a day goes by that we don’t think of him and miss him.

"The person responsible for his murder is still walking free and carrying on with his life.

"Someone out there must know something. We urge anyone who may have any information, however small that may help the police in this case, to please come forward so we as a family can get justice for Abdullah and then we may be able to start to rebuild our lives."

Mr Hamima was a passenger in a grey Hyundai car with two other men before it stopped in Melody Road, near the junction with Quarry Road.

Fabian Reid, 22, of Queen Adelaide Road in Penge, and Tre Henry of Cheshire Close in New Cross, were both found guilty of perverting the course of justice in connection with Mr Hamima’s murder.

Henry was later jailed for 18 months after being charged with the offence on May 11.

A third man was found not guilty of perverting the court of justice while two men, aged 30 and 40, as well as a 29-year-old woman were all released with no further action after being arrested on suspicion of murder.

Two 22-year-old men were initially charged with his murder as part of the investigation, however the Crime Prosecution Service has since discontinued their charges.

Crimestoppers has also offered £10,000 for information which could help catch the killers responsible for his death.

Detective Inspector Will White said: “We need the help of the public to take a killer off the streets. It's not fair that they continue to live their life freely, whilst the family of the victim have to suffer.

"If you saw anything or have heard anything since, please contact police on 101. Alternatively, you can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
