A new law firm has opened in Croydon citing the "cheaper rent" as a main reason for the move.

London lawyer Karen Holden officially launched A City Law Firm in Croydon this week with the company priding itself on being "a leader in surrogacy law, LGBT legal support and challenging all forms of discrimination. "

Located in 73 Park Lane, Ms Holden hoped her law firm could add something to Croydon.

“I chose Croydon because the industries are developing here, the rents are cheaper but there is also a buzz, a community feel," she said.

"We want to be a part of that.

"This is the place to be, especially for tech law.”
