Pupils should learn the national anthem in school, according to an MP.
Andrew Rosindell, Conservative MP for Romford, believes teaching God Save the Queen to children would instil a greater sense of national identity.
He’s also called for the anthem to be played more often, including by the BBC.
While patriotic people in other countries such as the US have no problem reciting their anthems, we don’t seem so fussed about ours.
A YouGov survey found a third of Brits overall and more than half of young people were unsure of the words.
