Community projects are sharing £78,000 from the Wandsworth Grant Fund’s sixth round of funding.

The Wandsworth Grant Fund supports a wide range of not-for-profit activities in categories including arts and culture, children and young people, environment and attractive neighbourhoods, citizenship and civic engagement, health and well-being and raising aspirations and potential.

Grants committee chairman, councillor Melanie Hampton said: “Yet again local voluntary and community groups, charities and organisations have come to us with interesting and creative projects for funding.

“The council is very proud of the support that it gives to local groups, helping them to grow and thrive but we want to reach out and to help more of you.

“Community driven grassroots organisations understand where they can help most and we’re keen to hear about them.

The project receiving funding included The Pitch Circus Festival, Growing Ethelburga Estate, Positively Engaging Youth, Earlsfield Stories, Waste Not Want Food and Give a Little Volunteer Programme.

Three rounds for 2018 will be available, with application deadlines of April 9, August 20 and December 17.
