A man has died in hospital after a fire broke out at a block of flats in Carshalton between Christmas and New Year.
Firefighters were called to the home in Culvers Retreat, Carshalton, at around 9.12am, on December 30.
The victim was taken to hospital but sadly pronounced dead yesterday, January 3.
A small part of a ground floor flat was damaged in the incident, with firefighters from Mitcham and Wallington stations in attendance.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the London Fire Brigade.
