Customers at Pret a Manger will now get a 50p discount off hot drinks when they bring in their own reusable cups.
CEO of Pret, Clive Schlee, tweeted the sandwich shop chain was considering increasing the discount from 25p to 50p to reduce waste, and this has now been introduced.
The discount means you can buy one of Pret’s organic filter coffees for just 49p.
Good news: @Pret will increase the discount for bringing a reusable cup to 50p in January. Thanks for your views. https://t.co/wtVwzoPe3U

Pret is now looking to launch a reusable cup that will be sold in its store later in the year.
There were talks of charging people for using paper cups but Pret said it would rather be generous to its customers as opposed to taxing them.
Reusable water bottles have also been introduced in the hopes of getting rid of plastic waste.
So don’t forget to bring your own reusable cup next time you pop to Pret.
