A serious crash on the M25 near Leatherhead resulted in a van being flipped onto its side this morning.
Police and ambulances rushed to the scene and two lanes of the motorway were closed in the anticlockwise direction.
The crash happened near junction 9 at about 8.15am.
Officers at the scene blamed today's bad weather for the crash, RPU Surrey Police tweeted: "Two lanes blocked. Working to clear all lanes in a timely safe manner. #drivetotheconditions"
A spokeswoman for Surrey Police said: "We were called to the M25 anticlockwise near junction 9, just after the A24 junction, around 8.15am following a collision between two cars.
"A car and a van were in collision and traffic was halted while emergency services were on the scene. South East Coast Ambulance Service attended - the drivers and one passenger received minor injuries.
"Highways England were also in attendance."
