A woman from Sutton who allegedly claimed to be a survivor of the Grenfell Tower fire in an attempt to obtain £10,000 in victim funds has had her case adjourned.
Joyce Msokeri, 46, of Ambleside Gardens, appeared at Southwark Crown Court today (November 23) and was due to enter pleas on five counts of fraud and one count of having a false identity document.
However, the case was adjourned until January 5, 2018.
Msokeri is alleged to have told hospitals she was married to a patient and is alleged to have lied to charities to get food and clothing.
She also allegedly claimed to have a child in intensive care after the fire on June 14, 2017.
A provisional trial date of February 26 has been set.
