Battersea Power Station will switch on its chimneys, a huge Christmas trees and thousands of lights along the riverwalk to kickstart festivities.

The development will mark the beginning of a month-long series of activities at Circus West Village in the build-up to Christmas

This is what will be among the activities available:

- Christmas Gift Shopping: You can get gifts at Circus West Village popups, such as hand-poured candles from Wax + Wick, handmade toys and artwork from artist Kethi Copeland and ceramics from Manufactured Culture.

- Workshops: Heaps + Stacks will have events on how to design your own baubles, gift wrap printing and gingerbread power station making every Saturday. On Thursdays, florist Moyses Stevens will be hosting flower and wreath-making classes. There will also be a crafts corner and wish tree, as well as an opportunity to win weekly prizes.

- Children’s Entertainment: Entertainment duo Sharky and George will be providing, hosting games and adventures with a Christmas theme.

- Pop-Up Cinema: The Luna Winter Cinema will be screening Christmas classics such as Home Alone, Miracle on 34th Street and Elf in both December and January. There will also be a bar serving food and refreshments, as well as visitors being able to sit on bean bags or two-person sofas.

- Giant Mistletoe: There will be a 'giant mistletoe' at Grosvenor Arch for visitors to have a unique moment against a snowy backdrop at Battersea Power Station, and even take a photo. Visitors can also go on the sleigh next to the Christmas tree for an ‘elfie’.

Battersea Power Station’s new restaurants, such as Mother, No 29 Power Station West, Fiume and The Wright Brothers will also be open.

There will also be a choir as well who will sign every Thursday and perform Christmas songs and carols.

The new MBNA Thames Clippers river bus service will also be ferrying between Circus West Village and the West End in 15 minutes, as well as Canary Wharf in 40 minutes after opening on November 1.

The Christmas lights will be switched on at 7pm on November 30.
