In terms of consistency, you won't find many better school than Oakwood School in Purley.
Not just in Croydon, but in the country.
For the fifth straight year, the Purley school has been named in The Sunday Times Top 100 Prep School list.
The school's headmaster was delighted when he heard the news.
“I am very proud of the achievements of our all pupils and congratulate the staff for their hard work and dedication. Our ethos, based on a pursuit of academic and personal excellence alongside a strong partnership with our parents underpins all our success.”
He wasn't the only one proud of the school's success.
“This has taken an enormous amount of hard work from all concerned and it shows that character based education, and education in the virtues enables our children to flourish in all areas of their lives including their academic achievement," chairwoman of governors Ella Leanoard said.
"To achieve these results in a non-academically selective school year on year is truly wonderful.”
