The delays were caused by late running works done between Upper Warlingham and East Croydon.
Southern Rail are warning commuters that their trains may be delayed by up to 25 minutes or even revised this morning.
The route between Between East Grinstead / Uckfield and London Bridge / London Victoria will be affected until 10am.
The disruption has been caused by late running engineering works between Upper Warlingham and East Croydon.
The problems started with a defective cable which affected services running between East Grinstead and Oxted from London Bridge.
A driver then couldn’t reach East Grinstead in time for the 5.45am East Grinstead to London Bridge service which caused more delays.
