A Sutton woman was given more than she bargained for when she bought a Caesar salad from Morrisons.

Aimee English, 31, purchased the healthy lunch on Wednesday, November 8, on Sutton High Street but got a nasty surprise when she brought the snack home.

“I went home and found the alive insect,” she told Sutton Guardian. “It made me feel sick first of all.

"I thought I was buying a healthy lunch. I didn't think I was doing a bush tucker trial.

“I won’t be getting that salad again.”

The following day Miss English returned to the store with the salad where she was offered her money back.

She said Morrisons gave her a £10 voucher and apologised.

Sutton Guardian has contacted Morrisons for a comment.
