Two Wimbledon schools will perform a Christmas Carol concert on Thursday December 7 at St Mark’s Church, Wimbledon.

The Study Preparatory School, on Camp Road, and Bishop Gilpin Church of England Primary School, on Lake Road,will perform a collection of Christmas carols and readings, beginning at 6.30pm.

All proceeds from the carol service will go to the Wimbledon Guild.

Chief executive Wendy Pridmore said: “Whilst Christmas is a joyous occasion for most of us, at Wimbledon Guild we are reminded daily this is not always the case. Every year we see clients coming to us who are struggling to cope with everyday life.

“Through fundraising activities like our carol service, we can continue our work to ensure we help as many people as we can and make a tangible difference to their lives

“Our thanks to the pupils and teachers of both The Study Wimbledon and Bishop Gilpin Primary School, it will be a truly wonderful evening, capturing the spirit of Christmas, whilst taking the opportunity to help and remember those who may not be as fortunate as others.”
