The 101st Army vs Navy rugby match is coming to Twickenham Stadium in the spring and tickets are expected to sell out quickly from November 1.

The annual showdown marks the culmination of the Inter-Services Championship, a battle between the Army, Navy and RAF for the prestigious Babcock Trophy.

Formed of players who are all in service, the last three years brought a different championship winner each time (RAF 2015, Navy 2016, Army 2017) and so it is all to play for in 2018.

Chair of the army-navy match committee Gary Bushell said: “The Army v Navy Match is an incredibly popular event in the Inter-Services calendar and the support has grown tremendously in recent years with tickets selling out quicker year on year.

“Last year it was the 100th match and we were delighted to welcome HRH Prince Henry of Wales with the Invictus Games Foundation as charity of the day.”

On May 5 2018, around 80,000 fans will descend on Twickenham stadium to cheer on their team; each ticket gives access to all four matches played on the day; the Veterans, the Women, Oxbridge U23s v UKAF and the Senior XV.

Adult tickets cost £25, concessions £15, family £50. Go to www.armynavymatch.org.uk
